Qatar Calorie Display Requirements for Restaurants
Guide to Qatar MoPH calorie display rules for restaurant menus after the 2021 mandate.
## MoPH Mandate
Qatar's Ministry of Public Health introduced calorie-display requirements in 2021, initially targeting large food chains and expanding to include more establishments. The regulation requires calorie information to be displayed on menus in both Arabic and English.
## Requirements
- Calories per serving for all menu items
- Arabic and English display
- Daily reference intake statement
- Applies to dine-in, takeaway, and delivery menus
## Post-World Cup Standards
The hospitality infrastructure built for the 2022 FIFA World Cup raised the bar for menu standards across Qatar. Many restaurants adopted digital menus during the tournament and have maintained them since.
